Odd Job Work Parties - July 17, 2009 : For our first Odd Job Work Party, volunteers from Ernst & Young and Video Products Distributors came out to help clean our toy rooms, make cookie dough, unpack formula, and work outside. We are so grateful for their support and hope to host many more Odd Job Work Parties in the future!

The Hartford Insurance Volunteers - October 22, 2008 : The Hartford Insurance volunteers arrived on October 22nd to paint water sealant on the fencing around the duplexes, the front of Buildings 300 and 400. Girl Scout Troop 397 - August 2008 : Girl Scout Troop 397 decided to do their Silver Award Project at the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House. They didn't decide to do a "small" project. They decided to build a sandbox for the children staying at the House. They also planted plants and trees. These young ladies have set the bar really high for any other Girl Scout Troop that follows them. Excellent job! Return to Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California

Accenture - September 17, 2008 : Accenture volunteers arrived on September 17, 2008 and began working their magic. They repaired sprinkler heads, painted doors, changed out light bulbs, repaired broken hinges and more. They also prepared a delicious barbecue for all the guests and volunteers. VSP Hands On Day - September 5th, 2008 : Volunteers spent the entire day making cookies, making journals, working with poptabs and pricing items for our Holiday Gift Shop. What a great job - they accomplished things that weren't even on the days "To Do List" and they did it all with lots of smiles and excellence. Thanks so much! BJ's Restaurant and Brew House - August 28, 2008 : BJ's volunteers from all over the area came together to make a difference at the House on August 28th. Umpqua Bank Hands-On Day - August 20, 2008 : Umpqua Bank volunteers from all over Northern California drove into Sacramento with trunks full of everything from laundry detergent to paper products to food for the families staying at the House. Volunteers put all the goodies away, pulled weeds and gardened, made cookies and cookie dough, completed a bulk mail and then barbecued burgers for lunch. Joe Salenko's Eagle Project - April 2008 : Joe Salenko created a peaceful haven for families for his Eagle Project. He landscaped a portion of the property into a Cactus Garden with a bench. Mr Handyman "Fix It" Day - January 11, 2008 : This group of volunteers arrived at the House with nine Mr. Handyman vans and spent the day 'putting things right.' They placed bricks, repaired fencing and gates, leveled the walkway, painted two kitchens, finished facings on closets and more. Our heart-felt gratitude! California National Guard - January 11, 2008 : The on-going support of the Guard is shown in many ways at our House. Each year, they come and pick up all of our holiday decorations and put them into storage until the next holiday season. This is a tremendous help as storage space is so limited. Great job!
